I planted a Chinese elm/Siberian elm hedge this spring and can't control the weeds by the plants. Will spraying Weed-B-Gon hurt the young hedge plants?

Weed-B-Gon contains 2,4-D, a broadleaf weed killer, and it can affect your hedge plants. A better approach is to pull the weeds one last time, then use a fabric weed barrier or mulch thickly over the soil surface to eliminate light and suppress weed growth.
