| Miscanthus sinensis is a group of perennial clumping grasses native to Asia. The variety 'Zebrinus', or Zebra grass has bands of yellow running across the leaves. Porcupine grass is Stipa spartea, also called Feather grass. It, too, is a clumping grass, but the leaves are lighter green and the foliage is more tender than Zebra grass. These plants are best grown from divisions rather than seeds (which are often sterile.) |
