The truth of the matter is, a hungry deer will browse on just about any plant! Deer will generally leave native plants alone, and are not particularly fond of Butterfly Bush, Calla Lily, Clematis, Columbine, Daffodil, Daphne, Hellebore, Iris, Jasmine, Jonquil, Larkspur, Lupine, Narcissus, Oxalis, Peony, Phlox, Rosemary, Trillium or Wax Myrtle. You might plant some natives or some of the above as a border to your Butterfly Garden and it may keep the deer at bay.
