I have a Blue Spruce about 15 feet tall and this year I have noticed lots of brown needles and these brown needles are falling off my tree. The tree seems to be dying. What disease does it have. I have watered it thoroughly to the roots and fed it liquid fertilizer 20-20-20. Have I lost my Blue Spruce? I noticed my neighbor had brown needles on his Alberta Spruce, but it grew out to healthy green needles. I live in the Northeast. Thank you for any information you can give me.

Unfortunately based on your description I can't determine exactly what is wrong with your tree. The symptoms you describe could be due to disease or an insect problem or drought stress. For a more specific diagnosis and suggested remedies you might wish to contact either a professional certified arborist or your County Extension (727-7850). I'm sorry I can't be more helpful.
