I have a flowering dogwood cornus florida how long will it take to reach maturity and how tall will it grow. |
Our native dogwoods can grow as large as 30 or 40 feet tall and at least as wide, but in general a tree in the 20 to 25 foot range would be normal. These trees tend to grow relatively slowly especially when first planted. Eventually they might grow as much as a foot and a half a year. They tend to bloom sparsely when young, and full bloom potential will not be reached until they are well established in a location where they can thrive. Weather will also play a strong role in their establishment, growth and blooming performance. Enjoy your tree! |
