How do I take care of Jackpot Tanacetum. Do I cut back the old foliage? When should I do it?

Tanacetum (Tansy) is a very vigorous plant and is not terribly demanding apart from needing full sun and a dryish soil. Tanacetum niveum Jackpot should grow and bloom in late summer the first year, be allowed to die back naturally in the fall, and then cut back to near ground level before winter. If the faded blooms are unsightly, you can shear them off sooner. The next year it should come back as a rather huge plant. However, this plant is only hardy to zone 7, so you may not be able to keep it over winter in your area.
