| Squirrels can be very hard to control but some gardeners report success using the repellant sprays such as GetAway (available from Burpee, 1-800-888-1447) or home-made garlic and/or pepper based sprays. Other gardeners find that a pet cat or dog can be helpful. In my experience, in hot dry weather they seem to be in search of water as much as food; sometimes setting out a pan of water (at some distance away from the garden) seems to help. |
