What does the plant need to thrive? Sun or part shade? How large does it get? What kind of flowers does it produce? Acid loving or not?

The variegated Hydrangea macrophylla "Lemon Wave" grows to between 4 and 6 feet high and wide and prefers moist soil in shade or partial shade. It produces a flat topped bloom similar to the other bigleaf hydrangeas. The blooms are a pale mauve so the soil pH is not a critical factor. It is only marginally hardy into zone 5b, and will not bloom if the wood is killed back in the winter, so be careful to site it in a very sheltered spot.
