How do you care for the sunflowers after they bloom?? When they begin to die should I cut the flower off and if so, how far back? I have Pacino Sunflowers..they are 18 inches high and have multiple blossoms.. Thanks, Lori

Cutting off the spent blooms will help make the plants look tidier and may encourage additional blooming, but it will also remove the seedheads -- these are a big attraction for the birds later in the season so you may want to keep them. When you cut, cut only a much as you need to in order to make the plant look tidy.
