The Q&A Archives: Some Magenta Annuals

Question: I'm looking for an easy to grow, good spreading, magenta annual to grow in my sunny flower garden. I love calendulas. Can I find a magenta-colored calendula? If not, do you have any suggestions? Janet Larson Rosemount, MN

Answer: Calendulas don't run to magenta yet. Look for magenta as a range of colors in dahlia, impatiens, geraniums and petunias. Burpee has some nice varieties in their catalog.
