I am more lost now after reading so many different books on the subject that conflict with each other. I have a small space ( approx 175 sq ft ) and want to start a VERY colorful flower garden. The soil contains alot of clay. Do you suggest preparing the soilnin the fall and planting in the Spring? Do you recommend bulbs or plants? Any assistance would be very much appreciated. Also, can you recommend a good book on the subject that is good for beginners and details the soil preparation and how to plant? I would really like some sort of a timeline as to when things should get done. This is truly an awesome web site!!!
