The Q&A Archives: Dividing Purple Liatris

Question: I have quite a few Purple Liatris that have gotten so large that I would like to divide them up and move them to other areas. Am I able to do this and, if so, when is the best time of year to do this?

Answer: The clumps of corms can be divided in early fall. They are best replanted immediately.
