I am growing these beans and have some that are long and thin some are long and larger around (like green beans). I need to know when to harvest these beans, long and thin or long and bigger around. Never grew these before. Thanks!

What fun! Chinese asparagus beans or "yard-long's" are fun to grow even though in most cases it's a job well done to get one that reaches even two feet long. In any case, like most beans, they taste best when picked young while tender and green. Older thicker beans will be tough and less flavorful -- just like snap beans. Enjoy!
