Can you tell me if there is enough room in a window box to plant daffodil or tulip bulbs for spring?

Although there might be enough room to plant them, they will in all likelihood freeze to death because the window box does not have the benefit of the insulation qualities of being buried in the ground. You might try planting the bulbs in pots and sinking the pots in the ground for the winter, then next spring as they come into growth and bloom move the individual pots into the box. Camouflage the pots with additional soil or moss and voila!
