I have a lot of flies in my garden this year for some reason. They only land on the flowering plants though. Can flies damage flowering plants or any type of plant or shrub?
If they are bad for plants is there anyway you can get rid of them?

In general I don't think ordinary flies will harm the plants so, as long as they are not creating a health hazard, I don't think you need to worry about them too much..
