The Q&A Archives: Bluish leaves on Spiderplant

Question: What causes leaves on Spiderplants to be very narrow and a bluish color?

Answer: I think what you are describing is the plant's way of indicating it is stressed in one or more possible several ways: it needs more water, it needs more nitrogen, or it needs repotting because it has outgrown the original. The third one is probably the most common.
