The Q&A Archives: Hardening off Abutilon Seedlings

Question: I started seeds ofAbutilon Summer Sherbert mix in the house. When do I put them outside and what should the temperature be? When do I plant them and can they be put in pots? Thanks. Art Shechtman Pine Brook, NJ

Answer: You can wait until the end of May to put them outside safely. They grow well in pots, be sure to use a soiless potting mix, some time release fertilizer such as Osmocote and keep them well watered. Most of all Enjoy!
