These two books will give you the detailed and straightforward information you need to perform a site evaluation, prepare the soil and make plant choices that will be successful in your garden's microclimate and soil. In fact, probably the most important "secret" of successful flower gardening is soil preparation -- and you can begin to work on that this fall.
