How does one trim squash vine leaves? One leave is attached to flower and one to fruit. Are they all necessary? Would water requirement lessen if leaf on the flowers are trimmed? Would fruit grow better if the leaf attached to this node is left intact?

In general it is not recommended to trim squash vine leaves, although one could tip back the main leader of the vine to encourage side growth and additional fruiting. The leaves help the vine build strength to develop the fruit, so removing leaves would weaken the overall plant.
