Answer: The bulbs you mentioned should be planted now, in the fall. They will come up and bloom next spring. You should not have to dig them up -- they should come back from year to year. To help them stay vigorous, allow the foliage to grow and ripen naturally after they bloom. Once it has dried up go ahead and remove it.
