The Q&A Archives: Soil pH

Question: What is the best soil pH for the following plants?:

Elija Blue Fescue
Kwansan Cherry Tree
Lavendula Augustifolia

Answer: Most garden plants do well in a neutral pH (6.0 - 7.5) Exceptions are those that love acidity such as azaleas and blueberries, and those that prefer alkaline soils such as cacti and lilac.

Dianthus, Phlox, Celosia, Lavendula and Fescue prefer soil pH levels in the 6.0-7.5 range. Cherry trees are not at all particular but will do well in neutral to slightly acidic soils, as well.
