The Q&A Archives: A Good Basic Gardening Book

Question: I need recommendations for beginner gardening books which includes when to plant, when to trim, where to plant, how to plant, etc. I'm interested primarily in shrubs, flowers, and vegetables. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Steve Murphy Douglasville, GA

Answer: A good basic beginning gardening book is "Gardening for Dummies", which is published by IDG Press in 1996. It will give you the basics to start with and then you can look for other specific books on topics such as vegetables, flowers .... This book should be available at local bookstores.
