How do I dry cocks comb flowers, so I can use them in fall arrangements? In the spring I bought your cocks comb seeds. The plants are just beautiful! I now need to know how to dry them, because we are using them in the centerpieces at my daughter's wedding reception in Nov.

Cocks comb (celosia) is usually air dried. Cut the flowers just before they peak and then dry them in an airy place away from direct sun. Simply hang them upside down one by one using a rubber band around the stem and then attached to a paperclip to make a hanging hook which is in turn hung on a wire clothes hanger. (The rubber band is important because it contracts and holds tight to the stem which shrinks as it dries.) Make sure there is good air circulation to avoid mold. Good luck with your project!
