Poinciana, or Caesalpinia, is commonly known as Giant Bird of Paradise Bush. Despite its appearance, it's a tough, fast growing plant, that rebounds if frozen down to the ground in the winter. Expect your plant to bloom almost all year around, except during the coldest months. It's a good choice for your Southern California garden.
