San Francisco winters are rainy and mild -- it rarely dips below freezing. I was wondering if there are any flowering outdoor plants that would work well for a container garden during this gloomy time?

Your weather in San Francisco is similar to that of Seattle. Some of the most attractive "off-season" plants include ornamental kale, winter pansies, primrose, sweet peas and candytuft. Give these plants a try; they're sure to brighten your doorstep!
