I have an abundance of green tomatos on my plants. However, they are very slow to ripen. I know that I could pick them and they will eventually ripen, but I do prefer vine ripened tomatos. Any hints for getting to ripen more quickly before the end of the growing season hits? |
Apart from patience, some gardeners report success by using a rather radical technique of root pruning one side of the plant. The stress encourages the plant to "hurry". You might try that on one or two and see how it works for you. |
