Lady's Mantle or Alchemilla mollis is a sturdy and easy perennial. It grows best in rich moist soil in moderate shade or part sun or sun. (In a full sun situation it will need more moisture.) After frost kills the foliage, gently trim it away. In spring you might apply a bit of compost and/or a balanced fertilizer according to the label instructions and be sure to keep it well mulched to help retain soil moisture. That's about all you need to do. Enjoy your "diamond plant" and be sure to take a look at it sometime when there is moisture on the leaves -- then you'll know why I've called it that!
