What other herbs can I rotate with my basil plants so as not to over use the soil? |
In my experience, basil is an easy going annual and not terribly demanding on the soil, so it can be followed by almost any other annual herb or flower -- I can't think of anything off hand that would be a bad mix and especially as long as you add more organic matter to your soil every year to help it stay healthy. I have even planted it in my vegetable garden alongside the tomatoes and peppers and rotated it from spot to spot along with them every year. Enjoy your basil! |
