Hollyhock seeds germinate fairly easily. Sow them in full sun with rich, moist soil in spring or early summer when temperatures reach about 60 degrees F. Some hollyhocks are perennials or biennials, so they may grow the first year, then bloom the second. They usually reseed themselves. Good luck!
