Are Dendrodium orchids grown from bulbs? Are they available for purchase?

Orchids, including Dendrobium, grow from pseudobulbs, which are actually thickened stem bases. They frequently grow multiple stems which can be separated (each with its own pseudobulb) and potted up as new plants. Burpee doesn't sell Dendrobiums, but you can find many listed in catalogs from the following sources:
Odom's Orchids, 1611 South Jenkins Rd., Fort Pierce, FL 34947, or Orchid World International, 10885 SW 95th St., Miami, FL 33176.
