The Q&A Archives: Lavender Blooms

Question: When is lavender in its prime?

Answer: This varies from year to year depending on the type of lavender you are growing, the weather and your location. For example, the first (and best) flush of bloom in my part of zone 6 is usually sometime around the beginning of June. There is often a second flush again in mid to late summer and occasionally a third in the fall.
