I live in Mexico City and I would like to know in what Zone I am living, and what kind of plants are suitable for this zone. |
According to my zone map, you are located in USDA Zone 9. That means that you occasionally have freezing temperatures during the winter. If you are in a very urban environment (and I assume you are, since your location is Mexico City) then you may be slightly warmer, and may not get freezing temperatures most winters. If this is the case, then you would be able to grow many tropical plants year-round. If you do get freezing temps., then you'll either need to protect tender plants during cold spells, or plan to grow plants rated for hardiness zones 9 or less. |
