I am trying to identify a peony bush I have seen - it has black/maroon single flowers (very large) with yellow stamens and long, pointed leaves. I believe it is a bush rather than a tree. I would be very interested in planting one in my garden but I'm not sure what it's called!

There are so many cultivars, I'm not sure which one you've seen. Here's a website with pictures galore - hope you can find the one you're looking for!
