My Hardy Mums grow so tall from Spring to Fall. It is hard to keep them small by just pinching.
I usually pinch & pinch from Spring to July, then I just give up and trim them with shears. But when they bloom in Oct, they are still so tall that they fall over. How do I care for them so that they stay small and rounded?

It may be that the variety you are growing is quite simply a large one and no amount of pinching will help. In some cases division will help control the flopping -- but staking might be a necessity with the variety you have. If you really want a smaller mum, you might look into another variety.
