| Wilting leaves in this season would likely be a sign of fall weather and winter approaching. Symptoms of diseases such as anthracnose are normally more apparent in the spring, although it may cause leaves to hold on to the branches even after normal leaf fall has happened thus giving the appearance of "wilting".
