Is the appearance of wilting leaves a sign of whatever fungus is attacking dogwood trees? |
Wilting leaves in this season would likely be a sign of fall weather and winter approaching. Symptoms of diseases such as anthracnose are normally more apparent in the spring, although it may cause leaves to hold on to the branches even after normal leaf fall has happened thus giving the appearance of "wilting". For a specific evaluation of your tree you might want to contact your County Extension (596-2993); they should also be able to make the most up to date recommendations for any needed controls. |
