I was wondering if castor beans are safe to eat?

Ricinus communis (Castor Bean) is a member of the Euphorbia family. The prickly husks contain the seeds, or beans. Castor beans are toxic if ingested, so don't eat them! It's also reported that the foliage can cause rashes if touched by sensitive individuals.
