The Q&A Archives: Rabbits Eating Dwarf Lilac And Live Forevers

Question: I believe a rabbit is dining nitely on my dwarf kim lilac and my live forevers. What can I use to repel the diner but not using anything toxic of course cause I'm sure he is a cutie. I just want him to dine at the neighbors!

Answer: Rabbits can cause a lot of damage and can be very persistent so here are some ideas: make a cage around the plants using wire mesh, spray homemade garlic and/or red pepper spray on the plants and repeat frequently, or use a commercial repellent spray such as "GetAway" brand Animal Repellent according to the label instructions. This one is available through Burpee (1-800-888-1447 or ).
