Serviceberry is Amelanchier, also called Juneberry, Shadblow, Sugarplum, or Saskatoon berry. These plants are shrubs or small trees and are hardy in the northern U.S. They provide early spring bloom and and attractive edible fruit in the autumn. All grow best in full sun with moderate water during the spring and summer months, and should perform well in your gardening zone.
