I planted (about 2 to 3 inches deep) some softneck garlic I bought from Burpee on October 2, just this week many of them have sprouted, is this a problem? should I replant or just let them go?

Often fall planted garlic will make a little top growth and this is not a problem per se. In my experience the stiffnecked garlic tends to overwinter better (be hardier) than the softer type, so you might want to keep an eye on it for that reason. In any case, be sure to apply a good layer of mulch to help it avoid heaving up out of the soil during those freeze/thaw cycles. Good luck with your garlic!
