| I have a friend who has a christmas cactus. Recently she sat it outside and it got real wet. Since then it has been real limp.She is afraid it is going to die. Is there anything she can do to bring it back? |
| Allowing the soil to return to its normal moisture level should help and then resume normal watering. If there is a spot indoors where the plant did well previously, I would return it to that spot. Without knowing how long the plant was outside, it's a bit difficult to offer a prognosis. There are a number of reasons why it could be limp, beyond being left out in the rain (what I assumed happened to it). It could have picked up an insect infestation of some sort, or, if it was not used to being outside it could have been shocked or "sunburned", or it might possibly have gotten too cold for it one night. Depending on what happened, it might or might not recover. However, these are very resiliant plants so I would hope for the best. |
