I would like to naturalize crocus bulbs in my lawn. However, I'm concerned about the effects of lawn fertilizer and weed and feed on the bulbs. If I plant crocus in my lawn will regular (spring & fall) fertilizing have a negative effect on them. Also, if I were to use weed and feed would this possibly kill them? |
The fertilizer will not harm the bulbs, in fact they will probably benefit from it as much as the lawn does if it is applied at a time when they are actively growing. The herbicide in weed and feed would only affect them if it is applied when the crocus foliage is above ground. |
