I live in zone 5. The weather is beginning to change and I wanted to move a few of my perennials to another bed. Is is a good time to divide them or would the spring be better?

The best time to divide perennials is a couple months before either severely cold or hot weather begins. It's important to let the plants adjust and develop a root system before the stresses of weather. I suggest waiting until next spring after a couple inches of new foliage has appeared.
