Are crab apples edible----Have a tree bearing yellow fruit.

There is at least one fairly widely planted variety of crabapple with yellow fruit ("Harvest Gold") and yes, they are edible. Often crab apples are a bit sour, hence the popularity of crab apple jelly made with lots of sugar.
