I keep reading about adding leafmold to the soil. What is it? I live in an area surrounded by trees, so the leaf supply is plentiful and I do shred them and use them. If leafmold is something different than this, I would like to make it. What is the process?

Leafmold is aged, rotted leaves. Shredding them and keeping them slightly moist speeds up the process, but there isn't really any secret to making it -- pile them up and wait!
