I live in southeastern Virginia. Is it too late to plant tulip, daffodil, crocus and hyacinth bulbs? Also, would this be a good time to plant "Lily of the Valley" (Convallaria)?

You can plant up until the ground freezes, although mid fall is the ideal time because it allows the roots a longer season to grow before the ground frezes. Fall is also a good time to plant the "pips" for Lily of the Valley.
