The Q&A Archives: Blackened Lilac Leaves

Question: The leaves on my Lilac bush are turning black. Is this normal or is something wrong with it?

Answer: I think this is the result of the colder weather. Lilacs are deciduous and lose their leaves in late fall but do not usually make a good show of color beforehand.
