The Q&A Archives: Flowering Vines for Zones 3-4

Question: Please advise me on which variety of vining plants grow well in our zone (3 and 4). In a perfect world I would have plants that grow thick, tall, very quickly, are beautiful (of course), have flowers to attract beneficial bugs and wonderful birds, andonce situated multiply well AND DON'T HAVE TO BE REPLANTED AGAIN. My question you have such a wondrous type of plant(s), which one(s) and is Honeysuckle among them? Lori Wilbert Polson, MT

Answer: Consider the following: Actinidia arguta (Bower actinidia), Akebia quinata (5-leaved akebia), Clematis hybrids, Euonymous, Climbing Hydrangea, and (Lonicera sempervirens)=HONEYSUCKLE!!,
