Picea abies, the Norway Spruce, grows quickly to 100' or 150' feet under ideal conditions, with stiff, deep green branches in youth, developing a prounouced droop with age. You can expect 1'-2' of growth per year when planted in the landscape. Plants in containers will grow more slowly, and if you want to keep your tree even smaller, you can prune annually.
