I am doing a Science Fair on organic and synthetic fertilizer. Since I live in Pa., I have to grow my plants inside for the project. How many kilolux should I use for a Royal Burgandy Bean Plant & how long should it be on during the day? I'd also like to know hnow much water should it get?

Beans need full sunlight all day so I would run lights about 16 hours daily. You will also need to keep the plant close to the bulb, say within just a few inches. Using reflective surfaces such as white walls or refelctive shields will also help intensify the light. The plant's watering needs will vary with ambient temperature, relative pot size, growth rate and soil mix. Try to keep it evenly moist yet not soggy. Good luck with your project!
