I have what appears to be a healthy spider plant. It produces the long sprouts with lots of baby spiders, but the tips of the main leaves are brown. Can I do anything to get rid of them?

Spider plants tend to get brown tips for several reasons. The most common are lack of humidity, chemicals in the tap water, and being in need of repotting. Unfortunately, the only way to get rid of browned tips is to trim them off neatly with a scissors.
